Three Years of Quizzability

Turning Sustainability into Engagement

Three years ago, Quizzability began with a simple but ambitious idea: what if learning about sustainability could be engaging, interactive, and accessible to everyone?

At the time, sustainability education often felt distant — complex concepts, heavy terminology, and, at times, a lack of real connection with people’s everyday lives. We believed there was another way. A way to spark curiosity instead of fatigue. A way to invite participation instead of passive listening.

Today, as we celebrate three years of Quizzability, we take a moment to reflect on that journey — not just in terms of growth, but in terms of impact.

Over these three years, we’ve had the opportunity to work across different countries, cultures, and contexts. From university classrooms to international conferences, from corporate environments to community-driven initiatives, each experience has reinforced a key insight: sustainability education only creates real value when people connect with it.

And connection looks different everywhere.

In some contexts, it means simplifying complex topics like climate change so they become approachable. In others, it means bringing ocean literacy closer to communities whose lives are directly tied to the sea. Sometimes, it’s about helping organizations engage their stakeholders in a more meaningful way. Other times, it’s about creating a safe space for questions — even the uncomfortable ones.

Through our quizzes, partnerships, and projects, we’ve reached hundreds of people around the world. But numbers, while encouraging, are only part of the story.

What truly defines these three years are the moments behind those numbers:

  1. The student who begins to see sustainability not as an abstract concept, but as something tangible and relevant.
  2. The organization that discovers new ways to communicate and engage around sustainability.
  3. The conversations that continue after a session ends.
  4. The questions that challenge assumptions and open new perspectives.

These are the signals that something is working!

We remain a small team, but one driven by a strong belief: that learning can be a powerful catalyst for change — especially when it is engaging, inclusive, and adaptable to different realities.

Looking ahead, the mission remains the same, but the ambition grows. There are still many audiences to reach, many contexts to understand, and many ways to innovate in how sustainability is communicated and learned.

To everyone who has been part of this journey — partners, clients, educators, and our community — thank you. Your trust, collaboration, and openness have shaped what Quizzability is today.

Three years in, and we are just getting started. 🚀
