Turning Challenges into Action: Quizzability’s August of Impact
August is often seen as a month of rest. But at Quizzability, this past month was anything but idle. Instead, it became a time of resilience, delivery, and renewed commitment to our mission of advancing sustainability through knowledge.
A Forest in Flames, a Resolve Rekindled
In late July, a devastating wildfire tore through the forest we support in central Portugal, destroying much of the area where Much More Than Trees has been working to restore biodiversity and regenerate native woodland. Witnessing years of care reduced to ashes was painful. Yet, this tragedy also strengthened our determination: if nature can recover, so can we — and we will continue supporting projects that give ecosystems and communities a second chance.
Delivering Knowledge for the Blue Economy
Despite the setback, August was marked by major achievements. We completed and delivered the full set of Blue Economy sustainability content for For-Mar:
- 750 interactive questions covering topics from marine biodiversity to offshore renewable energy;
- Comprehensive educational manuals, designed to foster ocean literacy and inspire practical action.
This milestone equips educators, students, and professionals with tools to better understand and engage with the ocean’s role in a sustainable future.
Strengthening Global Partnerships
Collaboration is at the heart of Quizzability. This month, we renewed our partnership with Douglas College in Canada, ensuring that our learning solutions continue to reach new audiences across borders. Together, we are building bridges of knowledge that connect classrooms to real-world sustainability challenges.
Tailor-Made Knowledge for Waste Management
We also delivered a customized batch of Urban Waste Management questions to L.AI Holistic Waste Management, our innovative partners tackling one of today’s most pressing urban challenges. By providing them with content tailored to their needs, we help fuel solutions that make waste management smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable.
Moving Forward with Purpose
From the ashes of burned forestland to the delivery of impactful knowledge tools, August reminded us that progress does not pause for summer. Challenges test resilience, but they also sharpen purpose. At Quizzability, we will continue turning knowledge into action — for people, for organizations, and for the planet.
